I went to Adalar Turkey, a part of the Prince’s Islands, for the purpose of exploring the abandoned Prinkipo Greek Orphanage (Büyükada Rum Yetimhanesi for those who speak Turkish). En route my friend and I stumbled upon an abandoned house. Obviously, we went right in.
We were trekking up a small mountain when we stumbled on a small, dilapidated wooden house. It didn’t look like much, but a walk through the door reveled stunning layers of peeling pastel paint. We came upon an old TV in the back room and were immediately obligated to stop for a mini photo shoot beside it.
The house backed up over a little cliff, although it’s hard to tell from the photos.
In each room there were layers upon layers of paint from years gone by. Amazing!
