Flying Across the World During a Global Pandemic

I recently traveled across the world during the coronavirus pandemic. As part of the trip, I found myself on a 14-hour layover in the Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar. The airport is as massive transit hub in the Middle East and generally extremely busy, but it was eerily deserted this time around.

Perhaps the very strangest part of all were the shops, now startlingly empty. Their [generally-valuable] merchandise stashed away somewhere, leaving behind stark, product-less shelves and empty illuminated showrooms.

I wandered through each terminal, finding several closed off entirely and deserted of even a single member of staff.
